WHAT MY STUDENTS SAY

TESTIMONIALS

I have lived at 1391 river road for the past 3 years with my close friends and have nothing but great things to say about the property and Manoj.
The property is in an ideal location, being right across the street from Johnson park, which is great for visiting the petting zoo and going on runs.
It is also within a few minutes drive to Rutgers stadium, the hospital/downtown New Brunswick, highland park, and the medical school.
It has plenty of space for parking due to the 2 car garage as well as the big parking lot/drive way.
The kitchen has plenty of counter space and cabinets. There are also 2 fridges, one in the garage and one in the kitchen that prevents clutter.
Most of the rooms and living room have big windows that give a great deal of natural light.
In the winter, snow plows come to clear the drive way, preventing any inconvenience during storms.
Manoj is an excellent landlord who is extremely kind, helpful, prompt, and considerate.
Any minor maintenance suggestions we have had throughout the years he has quickly addressed.
Living at this property was so seamless and convenient!

I have lived at 118 Bound Brook Ave for 3 years along with several classmates. It was
a great experience with no issues over the years. The house is at a good location with an easy commute to the school and to the hospital.
We have multiple routes to get to school including back roads without traffic. The
commute to the hospital is very easy . We also have direct access to 287 which is extremely useful. The neighborhood is very quiet, friendly, and safe.
Plenty of outdoor space in the backyard to study or just chill with friends.
Close distance to parks for tennis/basketball/running. The house itself has
plenty of space, all the rooms are a good size, kitchen is very clean with 2 fridges, living room is fully furnished with a nice fireplace. The only thing we ever have to do is clean the driveway when it snows, but we have a snowblower to
help!
Manoj is a great landlord and is very
respectful of our space. He is very helpful and is incredibly responsive to any issues that may come up. Any issues we had were taken care of very quickly!
I highly recommend 118 Bound Brook Ave!!

22 Knollwood is a delightful family home to live in, especially as a graduate level student. As a medical student from out of state, I was very concerned about finding a place that is quiet, safe, affordable, and within a close distance to school. Since moving here two years ago, I have nothing but positive experiences living here. Some of the great points about living here:

1. Location: 22 knollwood is a ~8 minute drive on River road to RWJMS, a 10 minute drive to Costco, a 6 minute drive to the gym, with numerous nearby parks. Commuting to school was never a problem during my preclinical years, given its convenient location right off of exit 9 on highway 287. Whenever I had offsite visits during my preclinical years, that required me to take the highway in the mornings, I was never panicked, since I knew that I could get to my clinical site without having to account for too much traffic. Recently, River road, the main road that 22 knollwood is located off of, has banned large semis, which significantly has also helped reduce the traffic overall.

2. Safety: I’ve never had to think twice about taking any safety precautions while living here. It’s located in a very quiet family neighborhood with numerous elementary school bus stops nearby with a few law enforcement officers patrolling the main streets during the day. At night sometimes, I go on walks by myself while studying notecards and have always felt safe. Our neighbors also, are pleasant and respectful.

3. Convenience: Manoj is a wonderful landlord. Whenever we’ve had something happen that required a prompt fix, he would sometimes be here within hours to help us out. He is very much involved in keeping his properties functional and respects our time and requests. He owns numerous other properties in the area and has an exceptional amount of experience as a professional

All in all, 22 Knollwood is a great place to live as a medical student. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a relaxing and convenient location to live in while dealing with the daily rigors of a graduate level education.

I was very happy with my living experience at 118 Bound Brook Avenue. I lived there for three years without issue. The house is in a peaceful neighborhood with Rutgers and shopping centers nearby. As a student this was the perfect location for studying with all the conveniences nearby. The house itself was recently renovated with all new appliances and ample common space for 6 tenants. The landlord was amazing. He kept the rent down and was extremely responsive to texts and emails about anything that needed to be addressed at the house. If needed, he was also willing to remind my housemates and me about paying rent which was very helpful when we were preoccupied with other responsibilities as medical students. I never had to worry about the house or not being able to find new housemates because the landlord was always prepared with a plan for what to do. He was also always more than happy to come by and check on things as well as help maintain the house throughout the year. Very grateful that I was able to rent here!

I have lived at 118 Bound Brook for the past 3 years and have been very happy with my experience here. The master bedroom provides a comfortable living space with its own private bathroom. The surrounding area is a quiet residential neighborhood that’s a quick 5 minute drive from the main medical school and a 15 min drive from center of New Brunswick. There’s a Quickchek and Dunkin Donuts within a short walking distance. Its proximity to exit 9 of Rt 287 also makes it a convenient location for accessing other places nearby. Our landlord quickly responds and attends to our concerns. I would highly recommend this place!

I spent 4 years at 1391 River Road throughout medical school with 5 other guys and we have had an incredible time. The house is very spacious with 6 single bedrooms. I've had more than enough space living in the smallest bedroom. The family area is a great size to hang out amongst yourselves and even to have guests over. The kitchen is updated with stainless steel appliances and a marble counter-top. There is also a 2 car garage. The rent is very reasonable compared to what some of our colleagues pay. We have had very few issues with the house but the the landlord has been timely and attentive to fixing them when they arise. The house is across the street from Johnson Park, and Dolly the Llama, which provides an easy way to de-stress by walking around and seeing the animals and the Raritan River or by running through the park. Overall we have had a great time here and have made many memories. We will surely miss it.

1391 River Road has been a perfect place for my past 4 years. It’s made a wonderful place to live as a student, living with all of my friends and still having more than enough of my own space. The house itself is huge. The eat in kitchen and the living room proved to be wonderful areas for sitting with my roommates and hanging with our friends. The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space for all of our needs plus extra room for some storage. Our two refrigerators gave us more than enough space for food as well. My room in the front got lots of sunlight throughout the day, and I also had nice views of the llamas across the street. The deck also gave use the opportunity to grill and be outside during the warm months. Other wonderful parts of our house include the huge driveway and two car garage which made parking and having friends over a breeze, the central air and central heating, and the basement gave us even more room for storage. Lastly, being situated across from Johnson Park is also a great feature, especially since I love to run and be outside.
This house has been a wonderful place to live as a medical student and would make a great place to live for anyone that wants to be near Rutgers campuses or Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. It has given me and my friends great memories and will hopefully give another group of friends even more.
